Very Porky Dinner! Oink~ Oink~

Hello lovelies~hope you guys are having a lovely week so far...I'm having a great week myself =)

Today i would like to blog about my Sunday activities. I had a wonderful dinner with the Baci team and Jill's birthday celebration. The boss wanted to go for japanese cuisine but sadly it's close on Sunday. So we decided to go "El Cerdo". But the decision was a very last minute and considering it was a Sunday night as the restaurant does get crowded, and with no reservations in hand, we weren’t too sure if we would be enjoying any of the pork dishes. It was really quite packed that night and we were lucky when the hostess approach us with a nod PHEWwWwW~

Specializing in pork dishes from around the world,“El Cerdo”, meaning “The Pig” in Spanish, is a restaurant dedicated to porcine delights.

Jill the birthday girl

big tables with lots of elbow space, and they gave all the ladies a small stool for thier handbags =) what a good service!

The ambience is nice and cozy, warm lighting...

The photographs, illustrations, and drawings of the pig and piglets at almost every nook and corner.

We leave the bosses do the ordering since they’d been there before and knew what was hot and what was not.

A basket of bread is the norm in the complimentary starters, we were pleasantly surprised to be given a cup of Soup too.

Yummilicious oystersOur special guest Bruce =)~ He's one funny guy.

Francis and Ellis. They're one lovely couple~

Pork rib

When the suckling pig was served the one of their staff will start introducing about this dish. According to her, the piglet was placed 48 hours into the Spanish white wine before roasted and if the chefs were good enough, you can simply cut the piglet up by just using a plate! Crispy outer layer of the skin and soft, tender meat is what they intend to present upon us to feast on. After cutting them up, the plate used earlier have to be broken by tossing it into a wooden barrel prepared. This action will bring good luck to us all, he claimed :)

The skin of the suckling pig was indeed thin and crisp, slightly salty, savoury marinade enhanced the juicy tender and yes, lean meat, and made the experience mind blowing. Okay I'm lying I didn't know how tasty it is cause I'm not a meat person and I don't eat pork just hate the smells...but everyone on the table enjoys it...so i assume it really taste good!

Desserts is superb!
