Real Bugaboo

The sleepless night is always annoying  and can be harsh! It's 3:30 am in the morning, and I'm still wide awake. I haven't been able to sleep well for the past few nights...been tossing and turning alot, but I just can’t sleep. I really really need a good sleep, but my mind and body are not cooperating!!! Arhhh~ I just feel like I'm not tired at night, and I stay up till 7 a.m. This is really bothering as I need to go to work the next morning. Hmm..maybe I'm just worried about something, that can be a real bugaboo~ Definitely need some calming, soothing mantra to help me sleep. Ommmm~

Gosh I'm late! Going off to work~ will continue this post later tonight...have a great day people!

Phew I just got back from a busy work day~ Time to continue this post!

What I Wore:

As you know fall and Winter fashion are just around the corner~ I'm so excited to see what's new in the market. But I'm sure the color black is in! The woman imagined by Tisci is sensual and hypnotic, wearing only black dresses and black accessories, given that BLACK is the Must color of next fall-winter 2011-2012, according to Givenchy. I'm so ready for the fall and winter fashion...bring it on!

Well I play with the fabric and texture on this look. I started with this beautiful lace crop top from TheChidlikeEmpress.com. Added a black velvet high waisted long skirt, then put on my favorite pearl rosary. I've also decided to put on a basic pumps to complete the look. Now this would be a casual yet elegant outfit. I don't know what you think about this, but I will definitely wear it to a party or a dinner =).

The Busy Weekend

16th of July was the craziest day for me! It was hell of a busy day. I have to attend S.O.X All-Stars Hoops, Urbanscapes for TheChildlikeEmpress.com and a commercial shoot. Yea call me crazy, but I was surprise that I actually manage to do all these in one day with a lil help from my friend Chien and the mister's family.

I woke up at 7am get ready and pack up all the stuff that we needed for the mister to bring over to Urbanscapes. Phew~ I think I loose a few pounds packing all these heavy railings and clothes. After all the "Kuli" work I drag my agent Shaun to S.O.X All Stars Hoops Central Conference at MABA Stadium. We were there quite early so we manage to watch almost all matches. Overall It was great game, I can see all the boys are trying their very best to win this thang! Shaun on the other hand was telling me how he beat the other kids when he was in his high school year haha~

Look how semangat they are~ =)

Score that ball!!!

Shaun can't be bothered, that fella asyik main hand phone je~

Their fans got all excited and worried watching them play.

The matches are so competitive, but it's been wonderful to watch them play =). I'm so not gonna miss out the finals. I wonder which team is gonna walk away with the RM5,000 cash prize. Excited much!!

Check out http://sox.com.my/star_hoops_2011/index.html for more info.

After S.O.X All-Stars Hoops Shaun was kind enough to send me over to Padang Astaka. This is my second time attending Urbanscapes! The first Urbanscapes that I've attended was back in year 2008, in KLPac. I missed the last two because basically KLPac was pretty far from where I stay and travelling to Sentul by car to catch up such huge event I'm afraid you can't find a parking space there. It's gonna be real packed! so I missed out the last two Urbanscapes. Well this year, they decided to held the festival in PJ Padang Astaka. Thought they would have more parking space but sadly NO!

I was looking forward for it actually since I love going to arts+music festival like this a lot, even if I have to work at my booth or I had to walk around under the hot sun hehe. Plus, It's been awhile I haven't done some shopping. So going to Urbanscapes would be a nice time to spend my Saturday.

Thanks to the mister's family and Chien darl for helping me =) you guys are AWESOME!

Hehe girls will be girls~ camwhore time!

loving some of the stuffs that the vendors were selling at Marketplace

Look at the crowd!

Met Jeremy, Valerie my high school classmate, and some of my other friends that I also managed to hang out for a while.

Vodka POPSICLES yUmmMmm~

Is Russel from the movie UP! =D He is such a cutie pie~

Luckily the mister's mom brought a few bottles of water. The weather was way too HOT! Well never mind the hot weather...at least it didn't rain because if it does, the entire field might probably be muddy. After hanging out at Urbanscapes for about 2 hours I  have to rush back to Subang to do my hair and make up for the commercial shoot. Sadly I didn't manage to catch my brother's band 'Freeloaders Inc perform =(~ But I'm sure they will do good =).

We stuck in the jam on our way out for almost 1 hour...that's just great! See what I mean...BAD parking arrangements!

SPOTTED: This man can actually take his own sweet time coming out from his car, put on his shoe and grab an ice cream LMAO~

Anyway, I felt the event was OK...not too bad. Loved the atmosphere on that day itself and I just love to see people dressed up like a hippie and then some dressed up in their most casual t-shirt and shorts way. Hope that I'll be able to get a booth at Urbanscapes again next year. Maybe The next time I'll be selling food =D.

p/s: I'm sure you guys eager to know what shoot I'm in...well you'll find out real soon!

Heineken presents The Art of Pouring by Franck Evers

Last week I was invited to Heineken 'The Art of Pouring' workshop conducted by Franck Evers Heineken beer craftman. I didn't know that pouring a pint of beer can be an art form. All I know beer is the world's oldest and most popular alcoholic beverage, and as such. needs to be enjoyed properly. A nice icy cold beer always does miracles at the end of a stressful day but have you actually thought of what makes a perfect pint?

Pouring beer may sound like a very simple task, But It's not as easy as it seems. I was trained to pour a perfect pint of beer from the bottle when I was working as a hostess. I remember this customer make me pour so many bottles of beer in front of him. I guess that's the happiest day for the boss =D~ but pouring a pint of perfect beer from the draft...hmm I don't think I can do it.

It definitely was an interesting session as Franck began explaining the essential steps that goes into pouring a perfect pint of beer; he also talked about the common mistakes people make when pouring a pint of beer and how they may be corrected. Besides that, he also spent time discussing service standards and the role it plays in providing consumers with the perfect drinking  experience.

Jasmine Foong, Marketing Manager of Heineken Malaysia explains, "The Art of Pouring workshop reflects Heineken's promise of quality. Franck's expertise is invaluable and through this workshop, he brings the art of pouring of a pint of Heineken in Malaysia to perfection level. Through our various campaigns, we hope consumers will be able to immerse themselves in the ultimate Heineken experience every time they enjoy a pint of Heineken, one that is shared by millions of fans throughout the world."

Franck Evers also spoke his experience, "There is a real ritual to pouring a perfect pint of beer, in fact, it is an art form. I'm very happy to have been given the chance to travel to Malaysia to showcase the art of pouring. Through these workshop, I hope consumers here will be able to enjoy the ultimate Heineken experience with every pint."

Frank gave some tips on how to pour a perfect pint of Heineken and a short demo. He then invited some participant to try it.

Here's the four steps to pouring the perfect Heineken:

1. Rinse - Rinse the glass in cold water before serving. And never dry with towel as it leaves fibers behind.

2. Pour - Pull the beer tap in one quick motion. Let the build up of carbon dioxide escape, angle. Then close tap in a quick motion when the foam reaches the top of the glass.

3. Skim - Remove excess foam with a wet skimmer held at a 45-degree angle. This leaves a thin layer of water over the foam which protects in from oxidizing. A perfect two-finger thick head of foam ensures that the beer stays fresh and cold for longer keeping it from going flat.

4. Serve - Serve your customers quickly and with a smile. Present their Heineken  in a Heineken branded glass, held at the bottom with the logo facing them.

Now this is what we call a  perfect pint of Heineken! Frack make it look so much easier.

Thankfully those who were interested in testing out their beer pouring skills had a chance to do so.

Tian Chad was the 1st to try it out~

Then Dusty turn.

My turn trying out my hands on pouring a perfect pint of Heineken!

I failed the first time and had way too much foam in my beer but after getting used to the angle and speed of the pour I got it right on my second try. Yayy!

I had so much fun with the other blogers that night~

Loving the atmosphere, people and food.

It was definitely a great night!

What I Wore:

I put on something simple that night. Dressed up in a fabulous dress from Gallo by Thian. It's Classy, simple, clean, sophisticated and feminine. Perfect for the event!

What better way to end this post with a BLOG GIVEAWAY!
