Cars Go Swimming In Flooded Basement

I woke up last Thursday morning to find out my car was swimming in muddy sticky water...That's when I realize my condo car basement got flooded around 11pm Wednesday night after a heavy downpour starting early evening. Our car been screaming and swimming in the basement for hours but no one care to inform us. That's just ridiculous! Imagine paying 500 per month for management and services of the high-end condo...and the management failed to inform the residents about rising water level. I wonder what the guards were doing? Folding paper boats and play in the water?


All car parked on the lower ground was effected by the flood... and guess what! It was flooded to a depth of four feet. The management claiming that the water came up too fast in 15-20 minutes. Oh That's just bullshit! And apparently sounding the fire alarm would gave risk a stampede of people running down the stairs. Seriously I don't know what's the fire alarm for.


To make matters worse, at press time, we were told by the insurance company of the building that the cost for repairs will have to be borne individually by the car owners. I totally understand that rain is an act of god, but I believe flood is an act of man. I reckon all building basement should have implemented a proper drainage and water pump system to react to any possible water flooding. I suppose the system didn't work at all. Now most of the residents here hope there will be some compensation from our condo management.



My car and the boyfriend's car was towed to the car workshop. We have to wait 2 months for the car to be ready and the estimated cost is about 3-4k. SIGH!

All the residents cars were left dead, our engines, radio, seats and documents all drenched!

There's still no answer from the management...MCT a bunch of scumbags!

Another one week of hell!

This is PATHETIC! For the past four days, life here hasn't exactly been pleasant. I'm not going to lie it's been a complete NIGHTMARE. I wasn't sure if I was going to share this on my blog as it's kinda unbelievable. but I figured "why not?" not everything in life is all sunshine and smiles and in my recent case, there were certainly a lot of frowns and unhappy matters. on Monday the mister's mom got an accident...Well it's not a serious case but the car got to send over to the workshop. Now the problem is how his mom gonna get to work the next morning?

I let the mister borrow my car, so his mom could actually use his car to work. Yeap! I don't have an extra car to move around right now. It sux but I have to bare for a week till the car is done. But how unlucky am I. My car got an accident yesterday. That means I got to bare for 2 freaking weeks! 1 week 2 accidents...Are you kidding me?! I really wanted to cry~

I just don't understand why can't everyone drive safely? I don't understand why people can't stay awake while driving. PULL OVER if you get too tired on road! I don't understand how some people being so selfish and don't give a **** about anyone else and drive however they want to. ARhHHhh~ This is driving me crazy!

Another seven days of hell! This is no fun at all~

Earthquake and Tsunami Hit Japan

A massive earthquake has hit the north-east of Japan yesterday, triggering a tsunami that has caused extensive damage. The news showed cars, ships and even building swept away by a vast wall of water at the split second after the 8.9 magnitude earthquake. The quake has sparked fires in several areas including Tokyo. Hundreds of bodies found in Japan aftermath. We can do more than just pray for Tsunami victims in Japan. Please visit the red cross of your country to give what you can.

A Nightmare Of My Life

Well when I said my car was badly damage. You wouldn't imagine how bad It could be...I might let the photos speak on behalf on me this time.

On the way to the mister place. I was driving happily all alone by myself. Ok...you may say I'm a weird girl but I love driving alone so there's no distraction around me. I've been driving for 6 years and I never met into an accident before. Throw me a manual car I can still handle it well.
 when I was driving toward the upcoming traffic light. I remember clearly it was a green light. so i just move forward...half way through there's this Saga from the left junction just ramp towards my car. I tried to stop but my car just slid into the left sidewalk. The impact was so strong my car is totally out of control.
I was aware everything at all once-the trees, the right turning, my grocery on the seat, how bright blue the sky was, the position of cars in my rear view mirror.
I was aware of every other street and car and pedestrian and sidewalk and house that caught my eye. When I look back, it's as though I had 360 degree vision.
I noticed the curb and the trees in front of me, but my car was sliding toward it. "Oh God, don't let me slam into that curb and the trees." I knew that hitting the curb would have changed what was happening so much, but with that thought...Pow!...For
a moment....just a moment....I asked if I was dead, and honestly, I was waiting for people to step through to greet me. Those expectations didn't last long as my car engine still running. I quickly turn off the engine then get out from the car. I opened the door not knowing what I was to step into. The warm, bright sunlight hit my face and I felt better. It was familiar. I was alive.
Now I could see the other party come running toward me from across the street...asking me whether i was fine. Drivers on the road were staring. That's what people do. They stare.
I pulled out my cell phone to contact my dad. Everything was settled and that's where I felt that I'm such a lucky girl to have such great dad =). There were no deaths and injuries, The other party was fine. Her car barely damage...and thank god I'm fine too~
My body is still arching right now...off to bed again~
